Good book. Love McCall Smith, though I do prefer his Isabel Dalhousie (of The Sunday Philosophy Club) to his Precious Ramotse. None of McCall Smith’s books are mysteries in the truest sense of the word, but mysteries do run through them — there is even less of an overarching one, though, in this book than in the others of his I read. Regardless, it’s a quick read, and Mma Ramotswe is an intriguing character, although one I don’t love as much — or at all — as some other people do. I’ll keep reading the series — but I’ll finish with Miss Dalhousie first.
Mma is amusing enough, and the book reads very quickly.
